Welcome To Year 6

'Life in all Fullness' - John 10:10

Y6 is being taught by Mr Proud who has experience of teaching across KS2. Mr Proud enjoys all aspects of the curriculum but particularly enjoys teaching Maths, English, Art and Computing.

As well as teaching, Mr Proud is also a lifelong Middlesbrough F.C supporter and a big fan of Cricket! When the sun comes out in the Summer term, Mr Proud enjoys sharing his love of the sport by running the after-school cricket club. In his spare time he likes spending time with his family, painting and keeping fit and healthy by attending his weekly over-30s skateboarding night. Mr Proud is also the school ICT and E-Safety Coordinator. He strongly believes that the use of ICT enhances the curriculum and can make learning even more accessible. 

Y6 is a busy year preparing for SATs but pupils also learn about many fascinating topics and begin their enhanced transition into KS3. Mr Proud also organises and attends our annual residential trip to Robin Wood. The children have always loved this experience and the residential enables the children to grow to be more independent and creates precious memories in their final primary school year.
